Plain English: we built PatrolNote to handle security reports, which can become evidence. We keep as little as possible.
Report text
The notes you type or speak, and the report PatrolNote writes, are processed to create your report and then discarded. We never store them and never write them to our logs.
AI providers
We send report text to AI models through OpenRouter, routed only to providers that keep no copy of the data and do not train on it: Anthropic’s Claude, running on Google Cloud or Amazon Bedrock, writes and reviews the report, and Google’s Gemini runs the fact check.
Voice input
The Speak button uses your browser’s own speech service (for example, Google’s in Chrome). That service turns your voice into text before it reaches PatrolNote.
What we do store
- Usage numbers: time, report type, language, length, quality score, fact-check result, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address used only for daily limits.
- Details you type into our forms (work email, company, state, number of guards, and founding sign-up details).
- A cookie that remembers you’ve given your email, so you get the higher daily limit.
Analytics and security
We use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand how the site is used, and Cloudflare (including Cloudflare Turnstile) to protect the site from abuse.
If you give us your email, we may write to you about PatrolNote and its founding offer. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
We never sell data
We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
Deletion and questions
To have your details deleted, or for any privacy question, email [email protected].
